The SDSC Image Tools is made up of libraries and utility programs for reading, writing, and manipulating raster images. The central utility, imconv, allows image files to be converted to nearly 30 file formats. Other utilities allow images to be scaled and flipped, and allow subimages to be cut and pasted.
The utilities are available free via anonymous FTP from sdsc.edu (132.249.20.22) and are available for a variety of architectures including Silicon Graphics IRIS 4D(tm) Series systems. All utilities are fully documented with man pages and are supported by the San Diego Supercomputer Center.
