EOSINT systems create 3D plastic models directly from CAD data by sintering thermoplastic powder such as nylon with a computer-controlled laser beam. Models are built in successive layers, enabling complex shapes and even interior features to be built fully automatically within hours. Prototyping costs and turnaround times can be drastically reduced. Models up to 340x340x590 mm can be built.
