AMPERES is a fully integrated, interactive, CAE package for electromagnetic field analysis. It is used for 3-D/RS magnetic design applications that cater to linear, nonlinear, and permanent magnet materials. Applications include transformers, solenoids, AC/DC motors, magnets, and charging fixtures. Based on the boundary element method (BEM), AMPERES includes geometric modelers and static and quasi-static field solvers. No finite element mesh is required. AMPERES calculates magnetic field components and distributions, forces, torques, potentials, capacitance, and mutual and self-inductances for arbitrary structures. AMPERES includes a BATCH and PARAMETRIC Analysis function in addition to IGES and DXF geometry translation.
