NISA/EMAG, an integral part of NISA Family of programs, is a general purpose finite element analysis program capable of handling 2D and 3D electric and magnetic field computations in electromagnetic devices. The program performs analysis by solving appropriate Maxwell's formulations. The material properties can be linear, nonlinear, and anisotropic. The program supports steady and time varying excitations. NISA/EMAG currently supports the following analysis types: Electrostatic, Steady current flow, Magnetostatic, Transient magnetic field analysis, Magnetodynamic, Thermal analysis due to electromagnetic heating, and Heating frequency electromagnetic analysis. The program provides exhaustive output including, plots of electric field, magnetic field, flux densities, magnetic vector potential, voltage, current distribution, stored electric energy, magnetic energy and coenergy, power losses, forces and torque calculation, temperature distribution.
