Stress Check(tm) stress-analysis software targets applications which fall between traditional handbook methods and 3D FEA. A user may select a problem form the list, assign geometric and loading parameters, solve it, and extract data of interest. Users can expand and add to the handbook problem sets to meet everyday needs. Advantages of the system include speed, flexibility, reliability, and convenience.
Based on p-method FEA, the technical capabilities of Stress Check include linear-elastic fracture mechanics computations, elastic-plastic computations, hierarchic models for structural plates (capable of analyzing boundary layer effects), laminated composite plates, filament-wound composites, modal analyses, and error estimation by p-extension.
