IGCAD is a 3-D surface modeler for concept design and prototyping. IGCAD also includes a 2-D draw package for layout, dimensioning, and generating 3-view drawings. Object primitives based on polygons and NURBS are complemented by powerful operators such as Boolean difference union/intersections, cutting intersections, extrusion, lofting, mirroring, scaling, and coloring. Automatic data editing and reduction operators are available to smooth, clean, and optimize data. Users can quickly create surfaced objects from pure wireframe data, to allow a realistic display and to check for interferences. Data can be imported/exported through interfaces such as IGES, DXF, CATIA(R), MOVIE.BYU, Wavefront(tm), and others. Custom data translators are available.
