HIPSADDON Additional Image Processing Tools include a binary shape descriptors package (for pattern recognition) and noise supression algorithms. With HIPS and HIPSADDON, users can transform an image, remove noise, and search for binary objects. HIPSADDON also includes morphological operations, Hough transforms, the Marr/Poggio stereo algorithm, generation of random-dot stereograms, and more. HIPSADDON was written at the Turing Institute in Glasgow, Scotland (the European distributor for SharpImage products).
