CODI-X(tm) is a graphical user interface for the CODI(tm) Character Generator. The CODI is an external rack-mount real-time character generator, designed to be operated remotely via computer. Its features include: high resolution (<10 nsec), antialiased characters, real-time operations, internally generated backgrounds, video backgrounds, "video in a window", transparent backgrounds over video, and dozens of page transition effects. The CODI is equipped with a broadcast quality internal video encoder/keyer and is capable of displaying in either composite, S-video, or RGB (with an external keyer). The CODI is an ideal text generator for high quality local, and remote, information display systems and other video titling applications.
