NIMBUS(c) is an integrated graphics presentation system for broadcasted weather forecasting. NIMBUS(c) utilizes output data from forecasting models running on supercomputers to animate the weather prognosis for the days to come, visualized as "satellite imagery from the future." NIMBUS(c) also displays traditional satellite and radar imagery. NIMBUS(c) integrates a complete broadcasting production environment. This includes provisions for infrared or radio remote control, auto-scripter, sequence transitions and automated pre-recorded weather forecasts with graphics and audio. NIMBUS(c) runs on any true-color IRIS workstation.
