VAPS(R)/DSRT is a specification toolset that converts the VAPS/Designer database into open ASCII metafiles. VAPS/DSRT captures not only the visual information of a user interface but also dynamic behavior and application logic. This allows users to formally describe an application, such as air traffic control station, by its looks as well as how it interacts and animates in real-time. Metafiles can be imported into VAPS/Designer where they are visualized and output in PostScript. VAPS/DSRT is used for specification, documentation, configuration control, and making large scale changes to VAPS applications. VAPS/DSRT includes tools for translating the metafiles to other formats or languages.
