ILOG RULES is an embeddable, high-performance, forward-chaining rule-based inference engine. Written in C++, it is object-oriented and supports inheritance mechanisms. ILOG RULES is also provided as a C++ library. The syntax of the rule language is expended OPS/5; it includes nested premises and value objects. ILOG RULES uses an optimized implementation of the RETE algorithm which can trigger 5000 rules per second --- making ILOG RULES the perfect inference tool for almost all real-time applications.
