The FMS/Unix(tm) is the UNIX equivalent to DEC's VAX/FMS. It is completely written in C. It supports DEC's FMS standard on Ultrix/VAX, Ultrix/RISC and other UNIX systems. All FMS functions, the FMS help management and the imbedded User Action Routines (UAR's) are fully supported.
The FMS/Unix(tm) compiler translates existing form descriptions (FLG-files) into a binary format. This internal format is used by the runtime environment.
Form descriptions can be created by the FMS/Forms editor (available for VMS machines) or simply by an ASCII editor. FMS/Unix supports all VT-terminals (VT100 or higher) of Digital and DECwindow's DECterm. Programmers and former VX programmers use FMS/Unix to support existing FMS and to port FMS forms without change.
