The Aligner is a system that automatically time aligns speech signals and the corresponding English text. The Aligner also generates a phonetic transcription and time-aligns it to the speech waveform. Engineers and scientists developing speech systems or performing basic research use the Aligner to generate bootstrap data and to develop segment duration models. The software is also used by linguists and speech pathologists. The Aligner requires waves+ 5.0 or greater. The Aligner requires IRIX 4.0.5F or greater.
