PROBAN(R) is a unique, general-purpose program offering efficient and accurate means of assessing risk, reliability and sensitivity. The program can be utilized for calculating risks for all types of problems, including economical risks for investment projects, probability of mission success, and reliability of structures and mechanical systems. In addition to risk calculation, PROBAN(R) will inform the decision maker about sensitivities and which variables most influence the failure probability and thereby where more information, research and development may be needed. This enables management to concentrate attention and resources on only the most important factors. Important applications include fatigue evaluation of ships, offshore structures, towers, bridges and airplanes.
