COSORT(tm) is a high performance sort package for UNIX-based platforms. Many times faster than system sorts, COSORT(tm) provides a drop-in replacement, a mainframe-like selection and reporting language and an English interactive/batch utility. Developers can call COSORT(tm) into C, COBOL and FORTRAN applications.
COSORT(tm) accepts files of any size and data type, records to 32,768 bytes with any number of fixed or floating keys. User exists allow special input, compare and output criteria. An I/O-reducing coroutine makes sorted records immediately available to calling programs.
