Vortext is an application software package that allows users to query, graphically display, and edit their existing database information. Up to 99 different databases can be combined to form one project. It is a project-based application that can build a data set for viewing which can be broken into any size, and all databases can be actively viewed and queried at the same time. Large areas can be "framed" and a query can select data for viewing and editing from several different databases over a selected area. Vortext has been developed for the oil industry but can work well with any type of spatial data.
